Well I hope some of you are still watching and commenting here because lots of stuff went on this episode including the return of the fairies, the death of three characters (as well as some extra collateral damage) as well as one relationship, and, of course, perhaps the sexiest heart sucking scene I've ever seen in my life. (I really never thought I could swoon seconds after a person's heart was ripped from his chest.)
My big problem with this episode was, surprise, Sookie. She was willing to let Eric and Bill commit suicide? She knew she could override Marnie's spells with her lightening hands, so why not use it to break the force field then and save their lives earlier in the ep? There's absolutely no reason why she shouldn't have done so as it's clear Marnie is completely unreasonable and therefore negotiations are impractical. Instead, Pam (who I loved in this episode) has to risk the wrath of her maker by defying his orders and accomplishes nothing more than re-affirming Marnie's delusions about vamps.
Even more mystifying is that Sookie joins the witches circle in chanting. WTF? She knows Marnie is off her rocker, and she knows from the previous scene the extent to which Eric and Bill will go to protect her-so why would she possible join Marnie's circle? She couldn't suss out from the OVERWHELMINGLY OBVIOUS SIGNS that Marnie was going to try and kill/hurt the vamps? She may be part fairy, but wow does her reasoning need some serious work.
Having said all that, I'm really excited to see how this all plays out.
