So in timetraveler parlance, killing Hitler is the sort of ultimate "no," isn't it? It always seems like a good idea, but as illustrated by the classic Wikihistory www.abyssandapex.com/200710-wikihistory.html, you kill Hitler and you mess up a great deal of stuff. I think in this episode, we're going to see the Doctor breaking all of his rules. Crossing time streams multiple times, all in an attempt to save Melody. Only problem with that is that Moffat has played pretty fast and loose with the rules of time travel already, so I don't know that it will actually mean that much.

Stephen Fry's "Making History" has a nice take on Hitlercide, recommended if you like that sort of thing.

Hehe, I like the idea of an Evil Baby orphanage.
My own hope for the episode, which I mostly picked up from MeFi, is that the title is metaphorical. I'm posting my theory here so I can check back after the episode airs to see how well I did with my prediction.
The Doctor is 'currently' thought of as the ultimate scary dude - people join the army in the hopes of meeting him, the word 'doctor' means soldier, fleets of aliens run away if he threatens them, and a bunch of aliens thought he was dangerous enough to lock up in the Pandorica. To them he's as bad as Hitler is to us.
But you can't kill the Doctor without making timey-wimey side effects, I presume. So the idea is to kill his reputation. The bit at the beginning of this season is the Doctor arranging to have himself killed, with reliable eye-witnesses who will spread the word that the universe will now be safe from this fearsome monster.
Fingers crossed, this is a fake somehow. Ganger Doctor? Timey-wimeyness? He did say he'd been running for a long time and now it's time to get on with things.
And with any luck he can travel the universe incognito, having fun adventures instead of angsty ones.

There was a scene of Nazi officers in the series trailer that we haven't seen yet. So I'm pretty sure it wont be metaphorical.
I have a hard time seeing how a Hitler-themed episode can be done well. Either you make light of the Holocaust; or you ignore it completely, which cuts pretty close to making light of it; or you treat it with due gravity, and who the hell wants that in their Who? I'm sure that this is why a Hitler episode hasn't been done before, and I'm only slightly less sure that Moffat wouldn't write the episode unless he figured out a way to do it well. I sure can't figure out how you'd write a Hitler-themed Who episode, but that's why I'm not head writer of the franchise.

The season after this one will be a recreation of Behold The Man.

You know, I was feeling all good about the revelation about River Song, about seeing how it would end up. And then . . . There was the reveal that Karen Gillan would be back for another season, and the teaser is all about Amy missing all these years with *her* daughter and . . . sigh. I really fear that all of Matt Smith's run is going to be "The Doctor and Amy" and honestly, I'd really like to see him with another companion and am feeling beyond lukewarm about all of it.

All I can say is "Helllllloooooo Benjamin!" OK so I have to admit I really didn't like the first 20 minutes. I was like wait WHAT? So Who fans be prepared to be annoyed initially, but stick with it. It gets really interesting. One thing that bothers me is that Melody at one point says she wants to age backwards to screw with people. This is the first time we've heard of the Time Lords being able to control their own aging process that I can recall. I know our friend likes to play fast and lose with the time lord mythos, but yeah I don't want too much to be rewritten. It seems wierd to suggest she can't control the regen process but CAN screw with her own aging.
There WAS a nice reversal between Amy and the Doctor. (Amy: Who does she kill? Doctor smiles and evades.) Also the reveal of the journal's genesis was touching.
