The obligatory mashup Tumblr (not mine, although I have submitted a few here and there). Occasional spoiler imagery strewn throughout; if you haven't made it to Hotch's S5 plot arc, for instance, you'll want to skip or partake carefully. criminalmindstfln.tumblr.com/

Ha, if only we could substitute those for all the dialogue. And I say that with (pained) love. There are so many reasons to loathe this show, and yet I keep reaching for it, like an expired Slim Jim at the gas station. Although I still haven't forgiven the ratbastards for taking away Dr. Reed's horn rims.
But it's pretty hard to tear your eyes away from Thomas Gibson, bless his heart, straining so hard to make Hotch grim enough that the whole world will forget it ever heard of Dharma and Greg. Or poor Joe Mantegna practically muttering, "Mamet! From Mamet to this dreck" all the way to the bank.
I think I'm finally gonna quit this fall, though, on account of the fact that the whole thing really takes "rape-and-murder culture as entertainment" to a new level. The way the camera almost always follows the perps rather than victims, lingers on screaming, suffering women, lovingly drifts over disturbingly realistic corpses. There was one scene where they came across a stiff lying in a ditch that I seriously believe proto-Dexters probably taped and have looping in their basement lairs. Hell, Lars von Trier likes women more than Crim Minds does.
But hey, casting Keith Carradine and Daniel J. Travanti as serial killers? You have to dig that.

I watch the show intermittently (more now that I've seen every Law and Order ever made about 7 times). I love this mashup and yeah I think the show would be ALOT better if random texts were integrated into dialogue.
Still, it's better than CSI. (OK I only watched one episode of CSI, but still.)
