Another sequel? I hope it's closer to my tastes than Anansi Boys, which I seem to be alone in hating.

People come and say, "Well what about Anansi Boys?" And I go, "Well, that's not actually part of American Gods," even though one of the characters in it. It's sort of upside down. I borrowed Mr. Nancy from a book I hadn't written yet. Really Mr. Nancy from Anansi Boys makes a special guest-starring role. It shares a character.
But there is also the story "Monarch of the Glen," which was published in Fragile Things. That's got Shadow in it.
I thought maybe Odd and the Frost Giants was too, but apparently not.
(And I liked Anansi Boys, but I have a fondness for Anansi stories.)

I saw the Gaiman reading in LA last night, and he and Patton Oswalt discussed a bit of what that sequel might be about-- the new gods of information, and how the older gods of information, like the god of network TV, are watching their empires and influence crumble.
Patton also got to team up with Zelda Williams (yes, Robin's daughter; yes, named after the princess in the video game) to do a cold table read of the Bilquis scene. There was audience clap-along, and some calls for Mr. Oswalt to take it off. Mr. Gaiman put a quick end to that.
I'm hoping someone has a good video; I was up in the mezzanine and having a bit of an adventure involving two extremely drunk fellows in my row, so I missed a little bit of the middle. If I find any recordings or the like, I'll let you guys know.
