www.list.co.uk/article/35132-supergods-grant-morrison-interview/Grant Morrison on Supergods, his new book where he attemts to be the Lester Bangs of superhero comics and get to the heart of what they're all about. I'm super excited for this - without Morrison I might not be reading comics let alone superhero comics, which I'd pretty much dismissed until Zenith. And, not to be too fanboyish, but he really gets this stuff, and his passion shines through in his work.

Got some signing and tour dates off the FB page for Supergods:
Tuesday, July 5th, 6:30pm: Foyles Charing Cross, London, England Wednesday, July 6th, 6pm: Forbidden Planet Megastore, London, England Thursday, July 14th, 5pm: Forbidden Planet, Glasgow, Scotland Tuesday, July 19th, 1pm: Midtown Comics Grand Central, NYC Tuesday, July 19th, 6pm: Barnes & Noble, TriBeCa, NYC Friday, July 29th, 7pm: Vroman's Books, Pasadena, CA Tuesday, August 5th, 7pm: Book Passage, Corte Madera, CA
There is one more potential Los Angeles-area appearance that I know of and have not had any ticketing info for yet:
Thursday, July 28th, time TBD: Meltdown Comics, Hollywood, CA. It's billed as "An Evening With Grant Morrison;" from their Twitter feed, I get the idea that it's likely to be a signing and a taping of Chris Hardwick's Nerdist podcast, but nothing seems definite.
The TriBeCa NYC signing has rules: Morrison will sign any three items you have but one has to be "Supergods." Presumably other sites have rules too; call ahead and check if you're not sure.
(Based on that, I expect there to be an early August Seattle or Portland date-- Powell's, maybe?-- but, again, no telling.)

The Meltdown Comics one is 7/28, 8pm, limited to 200 guests. $25 gets you a signed book and one admission; $7 adds a guest but no additional book. (This is completely awesome for me, as Wedge and I don't need two copies.)

Comics Alliance Review: www.comicsalliance.com/2011/07/25/supergods-grant-morrison-review/I'd say it's great given that you are already interested in superheroes, Grant morriosn and Grant Morrison's take on superheroes, which relies heavily on his personal history. If you're looking for, say, a more general history of comics or superheroics I'd look elsewhere, "The 10c Plague" and "Whatever Happened to the Men of Tommorow?" being possible good starting points.
