Ha ha, shovelcam!
I actually liked this episode a lot, so maybe I just have a high blandness threshold.

I SAID NOT THREAD WORTHY!!!
nah, actually think I might have to rewatch this one in a few days. Sunday night I hadn't eaten in about 24hrs and ordered an extra-large pizza for when BB was on ... think it wound up taking a lot of my attention. I mean, if I already forgot about super awesome shovel cam, what else did I miss?

Jesse handled that one methhead like a pro ('You know why I'm digging... can you take over?') but then not so much with the other methhead ('STOP PUTTING THINGS IN MY HEAD'). Luckily Mike didn't see the latter interaction.
I noticed in this episode that Mike and Jesse seem to have the relationship that Walt and Jesse had three seasons ago. I'm not sure if that's because Walt has become more of a dick to Jesse or if it's more of Jesse's typical cycle with surrogate fathers who constantly berate him and tell him he's not good enough.

Oh, also, I think it's worth mentioning that when Walt uses Bogdan's first dollar to buy a Coke, it seemed like the first truly supervillain-y thing he's ever done. I can picture a Bond villain doing that.

"I'm afraid you leave me no choice, Mister Bond. . . ." Bogdan did sort of have that coming, though. He was totally shitty to Walt as an employer and just couldn't stop poking at him: "Are you ready to be the boss, or will you have to call your wife? Can you force the cashier to dry the cars?" Jeez. My spidey sense has been telling me for a while that the series is going to end with Marie getting the little kid she so desperately craves, and Skyler going back with Holly to knowingly get more entangled in Walt's enterprise just reinforced that feeling.

That's an interesting notion. I have no idea how much of the specific story arc Vince Gilligan had planned at the outset, but it would be interesting to know that Marie plays a big part, since she's been mostly sidelined for the whole series so far.

I don't know that Marie will be important per se, but with Daddy dead and Mommy in prison, Holly will need to land somewhere. Although actually, I wouldn't be surprised to see Marie sell Skyler down the river to get her hands on the baby, either.
