Wow. Makes for a bizarre Sunday night when Breaking Bad has me laughing and Entourage has me scraping my beard from the intensity.
2 favorite lines:
Walt: "Wait, what about the 'I fucked my boss' bullet points..?"
Saul: "They don't uh ... they don't ever mention my name when you're talking do they?"

This isn't an actual spoiler since I never watch any of the sneak previews/ read things on the web other than here, but I think I have a pretty decent shot at being right with this one (plus it gives me a chance to play with the spoiler tag for the first time). Jessie isn't being taken out to the desert to be executed. He'll be given a kill-or-be-killed ultimatum - Gus is going to make him kill Walt. This is what was alluded to in the season opener, when they had that vicious staredown after Gus killed Victor. And it was obvious that Mike was impressed by Jessie calling him out on blindfolding the thief. ...and (this one has much less chance of coming true) further down the road Walt will figure out what is going on, and use his new advisory role with Hank to steer them towards Gus' operation.... Anyways, these are just my own crazy insomnia bred theories.

I think you're right about the upcoming thing -- or some flavor of that.
I was pleased to be semi-right about Hank consulting Walt since I'm never right about anything usually -- but Walt maneuvering Hank into it was a much cooler approach.
Gale's "Major Tom" karaoke video, oh dear. Walt Whitman, ha!

Okay so my main question for this episode is: The cold open. Those two guys fired like eleventy-billion shots into the Pollos truck. What was their aim? Did they know it was Mike inside? Did they just know it was 'security'? Where was Mike going?
My point being: If they knew it was just Mike inside, and then riddled the truck with bullets, Mike is a lot scarier than we've seen.

oh yeah! Totally forgot about that opening scene.
One thing BB doesn't seem to do very well is their 'Previously On Breaking Bad ....' segments. Often they'll dredge up a scene from an old, forgotten episode which gives away something from the new episode. I noticed in this one they revisited the part last season where Gus had the Mexican cartel boss assassinated Scarface-style.
So, I imagine that intro was a way of saying, the Mexicans haven't forgotten Gus and Los Pollos, and they're coming for revenge. Part of me wonders if this might wind up being Walt's way out - if he'll make amends with those guys over the death of Tuco, and help them to take out Gus. Then .... Walt strikes a deal to take over north-of-the-border business?

I assumed that Mike was in the truck specifically because he and Gus knew/suspected there'd be an ambush, but I'd guess that the overkill was just in case of some security being aboard and to send a message about the Mexican cartel's level of seriousness (?).
The interesting thing about that scene for me is that it suggested Walt may not have been entirely wrong about Mike experiencing some dissatisfaction with his current position. He seemed to emit an "I'm tired of this shit" vibe.

I really hate those 'Previously on...' bits, and I wish I could reliably skip over them. The show has a small enough cast and has a straightforward enough plot that I really think they're unnecessary anyway. Anyone who's seen the show will go 'Oh yeah I remember when Walt quit his job at the carwash, he was a big jerk about it' and anyone who hasn't seen the show will be utterly lost by nuances no matter how much is put into the 'Previously on...' bit.

My favorite moment was when Walter Jr peppered Walt with questions, and Walt fell back on "I am terribly, terribly ashamed of what I've done", a line that he totally rejected earlier. Probably my favorite moment of the season so far. (I feel it's been kind of a letdown from Season 3, so far.)

Also Gale's video, and when Hank showed Walter the Lab Notes dedication "To W.W.".
Edit: Upon watching the video at the link above... did Gale do this video in Thailand or something? His cheeks look really flushed, so he may have been drunk when he did this.

Gale doesn't seem to have learned anything about singing from hanging out with Flight of the Conchords.
